Volunteer Information
Opportunities abound when it comes to assisting with worship at St. Stephen's. See the listings below and find a space that's right for you. No previous experience is necessary! E-mail the office at [email protected] if you are interested in being a part of the family.
Sunday Mornings
Usher: Ushers give a warm welcome to visitors, welcome the congregation, pass out bulletins, collect offering, direct communion, and take attendance. Contact the office at [email protected] if you are interested in ushering.
Scripture Reader: Readers share two Bible lessons with the congregation. Contact the office at [email protected] if you are interested.
Communion Setup/Clean up: Do you like working behind the scenes? Communion setup requires setting up the communion trays, bread and common cup before Classic Worship. Clean up involves disposing of the elements, washing the communion ware and putting it away after Modern Worship. Contact Doretta Rapp at [email protected] if this sounds like the right job for you!
Choir: Love to share your gift of song with others? Join the Classic Worship choir! We are looking for a lead singer to help with our praise song selection. Weekday band practice is Tuesdays at 12:30pm with choir practice following at 1:30pm. So if you or anyone you know wishes to join our choir please contact Alexandra Caselli at [email protected].
Sunday School Teacher: Share the love of Jesus with the children of St. Stephen's. Contact the Learning Team Council Member through the church office for more information. (You must be a member of the St. Stephen's for six months prior to volunteering in this area of the church)
Soundboard: Make sure our choir and band sound great every Sunday! Contact the office [email protected] if you are interested.
Projection: Use the projection system to visually guide the congregation through worship. Contact us at [email protected]

Office Assistance: Enjoy routine and repetition? Help the office with newsletter and special mailings, shredding and data input. Contact the office at (661) 947-6451
